Histoty of the RMS Olympic RMS Olympic was the longest lived of the Olympic Class liners White Star Line constructed to compete with Cunard's Lusitania and Mauretania.While her sister ships Titanic and Britannic went to the bottom, Olympic prospered and even served her country in war time as a troopship, earning the nickname "Old Reliable" after proving herself unsinkable time after time.As is the case with ocean liners who manage to stay afloat, Olympic's sailing days eventually ended and she was sold off for scrap metal.
